Frankenstein: Illustrated by Sophie Atkinson is a richly imagined, hardback edition of Mary Shelley’s iconic novel, brought to life through 47 original illustrations that explore the psychological terror, Gothic atmosphere, and emotional depth of the story. Each image is crafted in a textured, semi-abstract style inspired by traditional lino printing, blending classic horror aesthetics with contemporary design.

This first edition is the culmination of her Master’s degree final project, created to push the boundaries of narrative illustration. From the cover design to the layout and illustrations, every element of the book has been carefully designed and produced by her to honour the dark beauty of Shelley’s writing.

The book is formatted in a 6x9 inch US Royal size.
